Vancouver, BC | Uva Wine Bar is the perfect place to unwind after work with friends. Well known in the city for it’s innovative cocktail list and execution, the only thing missing is the right leader. We are seeking the perfect blend of technical skill and charisma in a Bar Manager to lead our establishment to its potential. This position will report directly to the General Manager, but will be given room to exercise creative freedom and leadership. Get all the details after the jump…

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing weekly orders and ensuring inventory can meet demand
supervising and training staff
ensuring beverage costs are controlled
ownership of the design and implementation of the beverage menu
all aspects of the efficient operation of the bar and staff scheduling
performance of inventory counts in conjunction with finance

REQUIREMENTS

a self motivated, dynamic individual
at least 2 years previous management experience in a similar atmosphere
comprehensive knowledge of beverage costing and inventory control procedures
wine education would be an asset
a passion for mixology and the industry is a must
organized, efficient and reliable
excellent oral and written communication
detail orientated and able to motivate and coach staff
