Named for John Clough, 19th century Gastown’s booze-addled lamplighter and jailer, the Clough Club melds classic style with tasteful modernity. Designer Craig Stanghetta (Bao Bei, Meat & Bread) used as much of the 110-year old building’s bones as possible, commissioning installations and creating decor that offset the old-fashioned feel of the original space. The Clough Club’s craft cocktail list is dark-spirit forward, with a focus on house made barrel-aged recipes. Carefully selected beer and BC wines round out the menu, while the food is lovingly rendered South American tapas, using locally sourced and organic ingredients.

The Donnelly Group owns and operates popular pubs: The Bimini, The Calling, Library Square Public, Smiley’s, The Lamplighter, The Academic, Cinema, The New Oxford and the Metropole Community Pub; award-winning nightclubs: Republic, Bar None; and the Granville Room, Killjoy and Clough Club cocktail lounges. The creative and diverse company known for its attention to products and services has earned the status of an industry leader in Vancouver due to their impressive entertainment calendars, modern designs and strict policies on patron safety. The Donnelly Fund supports many local charitable recipients including the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Steve Nash Foundation, the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre and United We Can.
