The Chef vs Chef Winemaker Dinner starts off the roster of events at Miradoro Restaurant on Friday September 28 at 6:30pm. Join Sandra Oldfield as Miradoro Executive Chef Jeff Van Geest and Hawksworth Restaurant Executive Chef David Hawksworth alternate courses, pairing their dishes with the latest Oldfield Series releases from Tinhorn Creek. The cooler, early fall weather is perfect for outdoor pursuits: join Tinhorn Creek proprietor, Kenn Oldfield, for an educational hike through the Gewurztraminer vines. Learn all about the terroir of the Golden Mile and what makes Tinhorn’s Gewurztraminer so unique. After the hike enjoy a gourmet lunch from Miradoro on the Proprietor’s Patio. Let’s Talk Gewurz Hike & Lunch happens Monday October 1, Tuesday October 2, Wednesday October 3 from 11am to 1pm for $35 per person. Proper shoes and reservations are required – 250.498.3743.

The Communal Table, Miradoro Restaurant’s weekly late-harvest dining series premieres October 2 with a special kick off dinner and feature menu. The Communal Table will bring together locals and visitors to celebrate regional food and wine, featuring fare that is local, rustic, simple, straightforward and seasonal. Held at 6:30pm on Tuesdays from October 2 until the end of the year, The Communal Table menu is $25 per person, reservations required.

The always popular Crush Club Pick-Up Party is back for another year, Saturday September 29 from 1pm to 4pm. Chef Jeff will once again be firing up the largest BBQ in the Okanagan and slow roasting some fantastic food for Crush Club Members. Miradoro Restaurant’s Executive Chef Jeff Van Geest and Sommelier Justin McAuliffe lead The Search for the Perfect Pairing: Breaking the Rules. A structured tasting exploring the molecular compounds that make up the flavors in wine and food and how they affect each other, guests will sample a range of Tinhorn Creek wines with corresponding food pairings from the Miradoro kitchen that offer unusual and unexpected flavour sensations. Saturday October 6, 11am to 1pm, $55 per person. Limited seating, RSVP required. Seminar ticket holders will receive a complimentary amuse bouche if they dine at Miradoro later that day.

Miradoro Restaurant’s Large Format Dinner will be four phenomenal courses, featuring a 5L bottle of 2002 Tinhorn Creek Merlot, along with three other BC winery large formats. Chef Jeff Van Geest will be creating dishes specifically to match these wines. The Large Format Dinner is Saturday October 6, $95 per person, reservations required.
