The GOODS from Tableau Bar Bistro

Vancouver, BC | Tableau Bar Bistro is celebrating its first Christmas and promises to provide its guests with a unique, fun and memorable festive experience. In a few short months, Tableau has gained a reputation for being one of the downtown hotspots to go to for an after-work cocktail, party, brunch, lunch or dinner. With an award already under its belt and Chef Marc-André Choquette at the helm, Tableau is one of Vancouver’s top holiday hangouts, boasting creative recipes and an unparalleled ambience. Learn more about the restaurant and see what we have in store for the holidays after the jump…

Creative cocktails

Be sure to visit Tableau for some celebratory drinks this Yuletide, as Tableau’s talented mixologists have created decadent must-try cocktails available exclusively for the Holiday season, including the popular Candy Cane Lane. This brilliantly red-coloured gem will immediately take you back down memory lane with its sweet smell and taste of candy canes that make it an unquenchable joy. Bright, clean and refreshing with a hint of mint, it strikes the perfect blend. This melted candy cane medley is a delicious and fun cocktail that brings us all back to when we were sweet toothed little terrors, but be careful, a few of these and you may find yourself in more than a little trouble…. Remember – Santa knows who’s been naughty or nice.

Holiday brunch

A Holiday brunch is the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, relax and unwind and spend some quality time with friends and family. Tableau’s enviable brunch is still Coal Harbour’s best kept secret. Chef MAC’s latest menu includes mouth-watering Chicken & Waffles, the Southern Comfort food combination that is the latest brunch trend in the US. Just swap the classic Caesar or Mimosa for Tableau’s Eggnog with a twist and you’ve got the best Christmas brunch in the city.

Alternatively, if you are searching for something a little different, you may be tempted by Chef MAC’s French-inspired interpretations of Christmas classics, such as succulent Pan Roasted Pheasant Breast with Spiced Apple Compote and an indulgent Eggnog cheese cake. The newly-launched winter menus feature exciting new dishes such as Duck Breast a l’Orange and Scallops & Pork Belly, in addition to weekly seasonal features throughout the holiday season.

However you like to celebrate the holidays, be it with brunch, cocktails, a big party or an intimate meal, Coal Harbour’s neighbourhood bistro offers something for everybody.

Reviews & Accolades

“It’s French bistro done well enough to make me hungry at the thought of it.” – Mia Stainsby, Vancouver Sun Food Editor “You’ll go for the ambience and stay for the cocktails (which are excellent). But you’re bound to return, again and again, for the food.” – Alexandra Gill, The Globe and Mail

“Really great food. Great staff too. If I lived in that hood, I’d probably drop by once a week.” – Sarah Rowland, 24 Hours Vancouver

French-inspired eatery does it right – Metro Vancouver “Executive chef Marc-Andres Choquette (Lumiere) and executive sous chef Tret Jordan (Raincity Grill, Bacchus, Elixir) come with a fine dining pedigree that would be hard to match anywhere in the city.” – The Vancouver Sun

“Tableau channels New York bistro in much the way Joe Fortes channels San Francisco, that is to say, with a good deal of polish and sophistication. I plan to go back. Hell, I’d even pay.” – Randy Shore, The Vancouver Sun

“It’s to die for.” – Erin Ireland, Metro Vancouver
