Seen In Vancouver #258: Coolest Font Ever Signals Meaty Arrival

nov-6-2010-222

That’s my youngest son, Pip, looking mighty enthusiastic about the coming of Bernhard’s Bratwurst Import Shop on East Georgia between Phnom Penh and the recently opened London Pub (really, though, he’s just stoked to discover that one can write with sausages and mustard). Though the sign says it’ll be open in time for Oktoberfest, that ship has sailed. Here’s hoping it won’t be too long…

  1. Just in time for Oktoberfest?

Either Scout’s record for timely reporting is slipping, or Bernhard was a little optimistic…

  2. Nice front then. A little obtuse, perhaps, but they had me at mustard and sausage fonts.

  3. Geoffro is correct, the building will house St. Bernadine’s new office upstairs and they’ll also have a retail shop at street level.

“We’re moving! If you’ve ever been in our office lately you’ve probably seen that we’re running out of space, so go big or go home right? We’ve secured a big ass building in Chinatown and are currently undergoing renovations for our new space. Because the space is bigger than we need we decided to give back to the neighbourhood and open up a small shop in the front. You know we like beer but we also like sausage…. coming soon to Chinatown … Bernhard’s Bratwurst Import Shop. Mmmmmm …. sausage.”
