A new, modern-style 40 seat diner is on its way to the old Wing Nut location at 4444 Main St. (between 28th and 29th). It will be called Chaise Lounge. According to Burgoo and Wing Nut co-owner and Chaise Lounge principal Justin Joyce, the cuisine is a “take on updated and upgraded classic diner food” prepped with “environmentally conscious and organic” et cetera. The interior will see “concrete walls, graffiti, wallpaper accents and laminated tables”, and a variety of seating options, including bar stools, a sofa, booths, benches, and more. A slight nod to the 50’s will be evident throughout, even in the drink and cocktail lists.

They should be ready to open in mid-July.

All Anticipated Openings

maybe it’s the mixed etymology that bugs me, but i really loathe the name.
