121 Interviews in 70 days across 20,000 Miles Of David Lynch’s USA

David Lynch has a magical way of making the darkest and seediest corners of humanity shine with a musty sort of warmth. The writer, director, and producer known for such memorable flicks as Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, Wild At Heart and the 90’s television sensation, Twin Peaks, is out to test the old adage that “truth is stranger than fiction” with his most recent work, a documentary simply dubbed “The Interview Project”.

It goes like this: Lynch hires a team to travel 20,000 miles across the United States (and back again) over a period of 70 days while conducting random interviews all along the way. The result is a 121 part documentary made up of 3 to 5 minute interviews with folks from every walk of life. In Lynch’s own words: “It’s human and you can’t stay away from it.”

Neither could we. Watch the video above and click here for more.
