Rhys Pender, local wine educator, founder of Wine Plus+, and Scout correspondent (archive), appears on Wine Library TV to taste four Okanagan wines with the highly excitable Gary Vaynerchuk. Vaynerchuk gets the quote of the week describing the 2007 Tantalus Riesling: “It’s like somebody played dodgeball with apples and you caught, like, three to the face.” Also reviewed, the 2007 Road 13 Chardonnay (which gets dissed), the 2006 Quail’s Gate Pinot Noir, and the 2006 Jackson Triggs Shiraz. Very entertaining stuff.
