You Need To Try the Cinnamon Buns at Tall Tree Bakery in Squamish

Headed up the Sea-to-Sky highway this weekend? Don’t rush. Pull over and take in the view along the way, and if you’re hitting the road early in the morning, factor in some time for coffee and a cinnamon bun in Squamish.

Owned and operated by Erin Copeland and Sean Tremblay, Tall Tree Bakery can be found just off the highway in the up-and-coming ‘industrial’ area of Squamish, right next to Backcountry Brewing. Not only is their sourdough game way strong, but their cinnamon buns are also mythical treats wound tight with carefully swirled icing tops. So delicious!

Pro tip: get there early to avoid disappointment as they sometimes run out. Very much worth the early(ish) alarm! Also good to take on the road: cookie sandwiches, pretzels, seasonal danish and all the bread!

Keen to find somewhere to stretch your road trip legs and sweat off those cinnamon buns, danishes and olive loaf cals? Take the Alice Lake exit just past the last set of lights to Alice Lake. Whether it’s a quick 1km loop or the longer 2-3 hour 4 Lakes Trail you’re looking for, the year-round hiking mecca has a route to suit your post-carb-intake needs.
