Built in 1889, it’s decorated with cast-iron accents and originally featured a cornice and pediment across the rooftop and an intricate cupola on the front corner. The building is named for its initial owner: land developer, businessman, and Vancouver City Council member James Weltone Horne. See also: Hotel Europe.
