Valley Palate (phenomenon, taste) | A strong predilection for the types and styles of wines that are typically grown in the Okanagan Valley. The bias can be attributed to regional pride, a lack of interest in the world’s other wine regions, or prolonged exposure to exclusively Valley wines (often all of the above). It’s not a bad thing, but it’s still a thing.

Usage: “My Valley Palate parents just came back from a trip to Italy saying they didn’t care for the wines…”
