The 11th Annual Curry Cup is Returning to Mt. Pleasant Next Week!

It’s nearly that time of year: the 11th Annual Curry Cup is happening on March 24th. If you know, then you know. And if you aren’t already on board with this Chefs’ Table Society event – and you love curry and the local F&B industry – then trust us: you definitely don’t want to sit this one out!

Between now and next Monday, we encourage you to take whatever measures necessary to prepare your palate and digestive system for an influx of bold and spicy flavours. Then, hustle on over to Heritage Hall in Mt. Pleasant to submit your vote for best curry at this year’s edition of the popular, long-running curry competition, which sees a bunch of the city’s best chefs duke it out for the prized Curry Cup. Check out the stellar roster for 2025 below:

Akira Takaki, Torafuku: Beef Rendang (Indonesian caramelized beef curry cooked in coconut milk with toasted coconut flakes, aromatic herbs, and a blend of Indonesian spices) served with Acar Kuning (turmeric pickled carrots and cucumber) and lime leaf pandan coconut rice

Brittney Lygo, Tableau Bar and Bistro:
Ginataang Manok (Chicken Inasal, Laksa Broth, Crispy garlic + shallot, Cilantro)

Nadan Kozhi Curry with Coin Parotta & Vegetable Samba Ghee Rice

It all goes down from 6:30-9pm on Monday, March 24th. Tickets are $87.21 each, including tastes of all of the curry “contenders”, plus beverages and dessert samplers to round it all out.
