The Ability To Make Delicious Pie At Will Is A Key To Happiness, So Get On This!

pie

by Ken Tsui | The wintry chill may have transformed Vancouver into one gnarly ice rink, but there are bright lights amidst the chilling chaos. Case in point: Andrea and Stephanie French at The Pie Shoppe are offering up a decadent series of workshops to keep your home cosy and smelling like freshly baked goodness while you wait for this whole winter thing to thaw out.

It’s a tasty trifecta, too. Check it out:

Start with the basics with their ‘Classic Apple Sunday’ workshop wherein they get nerdy about apples and pastry essentials. Then, if you’re ready to graduate from pies, their ‘Pastry Fundamentals’ class will give you versatile, foolproof techniques for all your savoury and sweet baking needs. And if you’re gluten free, the pie ladies are hosting a workshop to chat about organic flour combinations, fruit fillings and sugars to have you perfecting a gluten-less crust in no time.

With each 3 hour workshop, you’ll walk away with a belly full of snacks, a booklet of recipes, a few new friends and most importantly, a warm pie made by you. Surely this would have been one of your resolutions had you imagined it a possibility. It’s pie, folks. Get on it!
