Head to Beaumont Studios for ‘Coffee, Treats & Hangs’, July 19th

Attention coffee-loving parents with kiddos: on July 19th The Beaumont Studios is hosting a convivial, stigma-free and completely kid-friendly cafe experience – no babysitter required.

This Sunday, from 2-4pm, some of Vancouver’s most empathetic coffee lovers – including Claire and Christian, of Honeysuckle Collective – are leading ‘The Playdate’, a tasty, pro-kid and parent-forward gathering open to the public.

Here’s how it all plays out: The duo will be posting up their locally roasted coffee pourover station at the Mount Pleasant art and community space, located at 316 West 5th Avenue (at Alberta Street). There will also be a self-serve milk tea station, courtesy of local entrepreneurs, Sam & Sherlene of Just Add Milk Tea, as well as goodies (Claire’s partner, Kiel, has that covered). And, while you’re getting buzzed on caffeine, sugar, good vibes and conversation with other like-minded parents, your kids will be kept thoroughly amused in the designated play area, equipped with toys and books.

For a bit of context: After becoming parents themselves, Claire and Kiel became determined to continue to share and promote their joint love of coffee, food, people coming together, and family outings spent ‘pop up hopping’. As Claire puts it: “This event is a love letter to parents and caregivers who are looking for a space to have a casual cafe experience with their kiddos in tow.”

Everything is by donation, although parents are encouraged to bring books and/or toys to the event for sharing. Keep an eye on Claire’s Instagram feed here for menu details. DETAILS
