Ad For Dutch Brewery Has a Much Friendlier Take on the ‘Hold My Beer’ Meme

(via) There’s a persistent meme about people (usually macho bros) saying “Hold my beer!” before doing something incredibly stupid and dangerously irresponsible. This 2018 Dutch advertisement for Amstel is a refreshing departure from that. It might start with the same loaded phrase, but it turns out to be all about friendship, patience and mutual respect for beer.
