Table #43, AKA ‘The Hot Tub’ At Chinatown’s New Kissa Tanto

Many months ago we posted a reader’s poll listing what we considered to be the top five restaurant tables in Vancouver. We received so much in the way of reader feedback – both positive and negative that we’ve decided to shine a brighter light on the subject, one excellent table at a time.

Kissa Tanto is brand new, and it’s likely going to enjoy a long run in Chinatown on account of its amply evident awesomeness. There are plenty of sweet tables in the room, but the one that really has us excited for a sit-down is Table #43, the oversized, elevated booth at the back of the restaurant. Nicknamed “the hot tub” by the staff, the semi-circular beauty can fit four people very comfortably, and commands a view of the bar, most of the dining room, and the comings and goings of the kitchen, washrooms, and front door.
