Opus Rooftop Restaurant Poll

As many food fetishists and serial diners are already well aware, Yaletown’s Opus Hotel is hoping to get approval from the City to build a new world class restaurant on their roof.

There have been hearings for citizens to air their concerns or voice their support at City Hall, including one last night, but the green light is still not on (I was scheduled to speak at the one two Tuesdays ago, but had to leave before my chance – I was speaker #61 on a list of 66!). Fortunately, if you’ve missed the opportunity, there is still time to help convince the powers that be that this is a good thing for our town.

The next hearing is on the 18th of November. If you’d like to register to speak – and I implore you to do so – call Nicole Ludwig at the City Clerks office at 604-871-6399.

If, like me, you’d really like to see the “no fun city” rep that Vancouver has been diapered with for decades get a severe blow to the shins, the development of this restaurant will help narrow our aim for a swift kick.

Remember your Harry Truman: “decisions are made by those who show up”. So do please pass this poll and this post on to your colleagues, family, friends, Facebook contacts, and more by clicking the “Share This” icon under the poll.
