by Morna Cassidy | The Western Front Society hosted its annual Toque arts and craft sale this past weekend. Nodding to the legitimacy of the traditional local arts and craft fair, this event – with proceeds supporting the artist run centre – brought together the wares of a select group of the city’s top artisans and craftspeople.
It was boon for holiday shoppers who, laden with cocktails, were treated to a true artists’ fair with a solidly local feel. Topping the selections were Henderson Dry Goods, offering an assortment of wood carved jewelry; Handrik Lou knitwear, keeping even the heartiest of Vancouverites cozy; and Contexture Design, which brought unique renderings of commonplace items to the fore. Details and the full list of vendors here.
