Falconetti’s opened their long-time-coming rooftop deck this week. It plays host to several deuces and fourtops along a rail that overlooks Commercial Drive & 2nd, as well as some very modern-looking, wood and white-upholstered booths that didn’t really gel with the venue’s “dive bar” reputation. Regardless, the new outdoor space faces west and catches every ray of sun from the afternoon on. And – please correct me if I’m wrong on this – I believe it’s the only restaurant rooftop deck on the east side.
Holla! I may have to start getting my mail forwarded because I’m fixin to call Falconetti’s my new home…

Is there a reason there are not more of these? If its a bylaw issue the city needs to get on that. Forget supportive housing Vancouver needs more rooftop patios. We can green Vancouver with Mojiots.
