Registration for OH Studio’s Hanami Bento Picnic Workshop Now Open

The arrival of Spring is always a great time to try something new, so take note: Registration for Object Handmade Studio’s popular Form to Feast spring ceramics workshop is now open!

Grace Lee, the local artist behind eikcam ceramics, will be hosting a special Japanese bento box edition to coincide with the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. For those not yet familiar with the concept of Form to Feast, it is a two-part themed workshop where you get to make a functional piece of pottery and then share a specially prepared meal from your new vessel.

During the forming portion, participants in the “Hanami Bento & Outdoor Picnic” workshop will get to create a bento box and three small dishes during a 3-hour long studio session on April 6th. Then, a couple of weeks later on April 14th, it’s feasting time! In true Hanami style, the traditional bento-style meal will be taking place in an idyllic outdoor setting amid the blooming sakura.

Sounds dreamy, right? Besides booking a flight to Japan we can’t think of a better way to enjoy and commemorate this amazing and highly anticipated shift in seasons.

Spots are very limited and will probably sell out at $90 per. Get the full details and register for this truly unique one per year opportunity here.
