Ali Bruce’s ‘Floral Negative’ Is Hanging At Chinatown’s Untitled Art Space

Ali

The name Ali Bruce has been popping up everywhere around Vancouver lately. From a special edition Black Lips poster design (for Levitation last weekend) to being a guest star at SNAG (plus myriad art shows in between), this Vancouver illustrator has definitely made a name for herself and her unique style.

She’s a featured artist in ‘Small Works Big Show’, up now at Untitled Art Space. Her piece, Floral Negative, combines the identifiable Bruce illustration style with a lovely floral motif, showing that flowers can be cool too. Ali has illustrated on all types of mediums. Most recent and notable: a motorcycle helmet for The Shop’s Helmate 4 Daze silent auction. With Floral Negative, Ali has used a wood block as her starting material of choice, creating a wall-worthy object. Making this piece even more beautiful, it will only set you back $50.00! Snatch this little guy up before it’s gone and the exhibition closes on June 20th!

Artist: Ail Bruce | Piece: Floral Negative, 9”x9”, Paint on wood
Price: $50.00 | Gallery: Untitled Art Space | 434 Columbia St. | Now - June 20th
