Our good friends and collaborators over at Here There Studios are putting on a delicious evening of food and film next month in East Van. Check this awesomeness out:

On Saturday, March 7th, Here There is teaming up with chef Nathan Lowey of ‘Upstairs’ at Campagnolo to present Sensory Cinema: The Big Lebowski, a tasty new way of experiencing movies.

Imagine a movie experience unlike any other, a beloved Coen Brothers classic paired with a tasting menu designed specifically for scenes in the film. Chef Lowey will select some of his favourite moments in the film and playfully pair them with savoury and sweet canapés. Audience members will watch the film with food coming out of the kitchen perfectly timed and delivered to their seat by a friendly Sensory Cinema usher.

Here There is Lizzy Karp (Rain City Chronicles) and Ken Tsui (The Golden Dumpling Cook Off), a duo dedicated to hosting creative, new experiences in Vancouver. Together, they’re teaming up with ‘Upstairs’ at Campagnolo, best known for their signature “Dirty Burger” and being Vancouver’s best kept secret.

With the added dimension of taste, touch and smell, the movie comes alive in an immersive cinematic experience. On March 7th, Sensory Cinema and Chef Lowey are out to prove that The Big Lebowski is more than just a White Russian.
