Head to Mount Pleasant for a Night of Local Art and Wine, Nov. 23

The local art-loving wine brand by friends Ashley Chandler and Emily Davies, Galerie, has been working on a project with Friends of Friends for a little while now… and it’s all coming together at special art show and wine release on Saturday, November 23rd.

For this collaboration, six Vancouver-based artists working in various mediums were enlisted to create label art for one of six of Galerie’s Collection 01 wines – including recent ‘Vancouverites’ interview subject, Andrew Hurt (@wharfie_boy), who first alerted us to the project while it was still in the works, back in October. Hurt’s illustration adorns “My Grandma”, a 2021 Chardonnay. The other five talented artists and wines are: Ryan Davis (@rxd.info) and “Mustered Luck” 2022 Chardonnay; Austin Gene McNally-Macaraeg (@austin.genius) and “Roses for a Friend” 2021 Pinot Noir; George Hawitt (@life.of.ping) and “Pour You” 2021 Pinot Noir; Elliot Santos (@ell.ssss) and “Enchante” 2022 Chardonnay; and Quinn Girard (@qnngrrd) and “Paul” 2021 Syrah.

On the off-chance that spending a Saturday night in Mount Pleasant, chatting up and chilling with a bunch of cool local artists and other members of Vancouver’s art and wine scene, all the while sipping on FoFxGALERIE wines (available to purchase btg; and/or beer or beverages by Cinco Drink Co.), listening to music, and ogling an art exhibition isn’t alluring enough, let us apply some extra pressure: the November 23rd event is also your only opportunity to actually acquire any of these six artist collab wines! Avoid potential regrets by snagging your tickets to attend (~$24 each) here. Also of note: Preorders for each of the six wines are now available (for $38 per bottle) from Galerie’s online Wine Shop.
