Vancouver, BC | JoieFarm Winery, a Canadian, family-owned business, announces an organizational change, and a new ownership structure.

Effective February 23, 2015, Co-Founder Michael Dinn will be selling his ownership interests in JoieFarm, and will be leaving the organization to join friend and colleague Brian Berry as a partner in Revelry Import Company, a dynamic, new Western Canadian importer and distributor of fine wines and spirits. Fellow Co-Founder Heidi Noble will assume full ownership and management of the JoieFarm business going forward.

“Michael has been with JoieFarm since inception, and has been an essential contributor to our winery’s steady growth and success” says Heidi Noble. She adds “Our parting of ways is extremely healthy, respectful, and we see bright opportunities ahead for both of us”.

Michael Dinn and Heidi Noble have planned the transition for several months, and anticipate that the transfer will be as smooth as possible for clients and suppliers alike. Ms Noble will include Sales & Marketing as part of her responsibilities with the firm.

Winemaking remains in the capable hands of both Heidi Noble and longstanding Winemaker, Robert Thielicke. “We will continue to explore the awesome potential of aromatic whites, rosé and Burgundian varietals in the Okanagan Valley. That’s how JoieFarm’s reputation has been achieved since Day One” says Noble. “Wine quality, integrity and consistency remain our highest priorities We want to keep our loyal fans of JoieFarm happy.” she added.

With the change of stewardship, Proprietor Heidi Noble intends to inject a renaissance of local food into the business mix. “I have a few ideas in the works that will certainly delight our longstanding JoieFarm fans” says Noble. She plans to formally announce further news in late Spring 2015.

The 2014 Vintage Release will be available for private mailing list orders as usual the first week of March 2015 and licensee ordering will commence mid-March 2015. Stay tuned for upcoming details of this release.

JoieFarm is owned and operated by Heidi Noble and is located on their farm on the beautiful Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley in the interior of British Columbia. JoieFarm is interested exclusively in the grape varieties of Alsace, Burgundy and Champagne which excel in the cool-climate, desert landscape of the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. We are particularly interested in making these wines because not only are they wines that we love and enjoy drinking, but we feel these varieties thrive and are relevant in our area. As young winemakers at the forefront of a new wine region, we are interested in exploring the potential and synergy between these aromatic varietals and their role in distinguishing the culinary West Coast of Canada as an emerging and unified cuisine.
