The second half of August always feels different: like it’s the ‘last call’ for lake swims, trips to the beach, ice cream, and basically any dinner that happens outside. With that in mind, on Monday, August 18th, there’s an outdoors dinner that’s certainly calling our name: a one-night-only feast on the Dachi patio, featuring a trio of rad chefs – Eva Chin (Yan Dining Room, Toronto), Katy Cheung (Burdock & Co, Vancouver), and Jiwon Seo (Dachi). From Dachi: “These three are not only incredible chefs but close friends, coming together to create a dinner where Asian flavours meet Southern barbecue. Expect dishes rooted in their Chinese and Korean heritages, layered with smoke, spice, and plenty of heart. At the center of it all is short-grain rice. Plump, sticky, and perfect for soaking up bold sauces and pairing with grilled meats, fermented condiments, and home-style flavours.”
