Two Nights In This Inspired Treehouse Outside Seattle

treehouse07

(via) This Parthenon-inspired treehouse called the Temple of the Blue Moon was built outside Seattle in 2005 by Pete Nelson and his wife Judy. They’ve since built five others on their property – each of them unique to their respective trees – and opened them up to the public as a bed and breakfast called Treehouse Point.

  3. Hi Jarek,

It’s mom – when are you going to move your Hummer from our driveway?

  4. Actually driving 80km in one of todays efficient vehicles isn’t that big of greenhouse gas producing problem. Statistics show that in Canada most greenhouse gas emissions are from combustion sources or energy creation with transportation coming in second at almost half the GHG emissions.

Beyond that trying to shame people who drive somewhere probably has no positive effect on the environment.

  5. A Westfalia is not an efficient vehicle, Antonio. Not much better than a Hummer, actually.

  6. “A Westfalia is not an efficient vehicle”. And we laughed and laughed.

A Westy can sleep four and operate battery/solar/propane electrics and refrigeration. It also carries its own food/water supply, not to mention 60+ cubic feet of storage and bike racks, roof racks, etc.
