You Need To Try the ‘Macro Bowl of Love’ at Kokomo

You Need To Try This is a running archive of all the awesome drinks and dishes we’ve come across over the course of our professional and private lives (or at least the ones we had the presence of mind and patience to photograph before they got in our bellies).

Having enjoyed and endured a few over-indulgent birthdays and heavy restaurant experiences in recent days, it was kind of a no brainer to hit Chinatown’s little Kokomo for a healthy, restorative fix today.

Their special was the “Macro Bowl of Love”, a sunflower/beet/sesame-dressed mountain of rice, purple kale, dill pickled carrot curls, turmeric/ginger-licked cauliflower, smoked chickpeas and crunchy cucumber ($13).

The bright, polychromatic, multi-textured flavour pile ticked all the boxes — exactly what the day demanded! Dig into a bowl this week while it’s still available.
