Service Industry Veterans Publish New “Vineyard Dogs of the Okanagan” Book

Buddy the mini daschund from Painted Rock Estate Winery

Life doesn’t get much sweeter than that of a dog’s…except for maybe one in wine country. Proof positive: Vineyard Dogs of the Okanagan. From what we can surmise, the book is a hybrid of street style and pet portrait photography, as captured by local photographer Aliki Salmas. Prose and poetry by Christian Hannigan is also featured alongside images of canines from over two dozen wineries such as Orofino, Blasted Church, Joie Farm, Okanagan Crush Pad, Tantalus, Lock and Worth, Quails’ Gate and Tinhorn Creek, among others (both Salmas and Hannigan work as servers in Vancouver). It’s the coffee table book we didn’t know we were missing! Find it at the wineries involved or online.
