  1. You missed a good little sweet spot in Steveston. Everything made from fresh ingredients with no additives or fillers. The Sweet Spot

  2. “Say Hello” is by FAR the best ice cream in Vancouver! I had their banana and walnut at Friendly Snackbar on Main Street: #MindBlown

  3. Milner Cheese in Langley makes ridiculous goat milk gelato. Lemon is crazy!!

  4. Say Hello Sweets is my fave overall! Great…now I’m craving a cone and none to be had any time soon. Thanks. Lol

  5. Puccini’s deli in north van makes amazing pistachio gelato – authentic in taste, texture and colour. That gets my ice cream $$ and a vote – if it was on your list.

  6. Matteo’s Gelato in PoCo is the best gelato in Vancouver. It should be on this list!

  7. Milner’s in Langley does make amazing goat gelato – straight from the herd in the pasture surrounding their store. Mango is truly amazing.

  8. This list seems rather incomplete. Mario’s Gelati is missing and is pretty much an institution for ice cream in Vancouver! Been going there for years and now the kiddos love it!

  9. Umaluma is AMAZING seriously you would never ever know it was all plant based and the cones…nom nom nom. Serious craving right now!

  10. Dolce Amore on Commercial Drive is amazing and not on this list, which is criminal.

  11. ZERO° BY CHOCOLATE ARTS gets my vote, esp. chocolate with brandied cherries. To die for!

  12. Rocky Point Ice Cream’s salted caramel is to die for. I’m a little annoyed by you guys ignoring the “burbs” like Port Moody all the time… it’s time to embrace the existence of “greater Vancouver”!

  13. Anny’s in New West – awemazing soft serve, straight up vanilla ?
Sometimes the simplest are the best.
I’d say #1 for Earnest servers, always knowledgeable and pleasant!

Vancouver’s Best Japanese Curries, Our Favourites Mapped

Japanese curry doesn’t chase the spotlight the way ramen or gyoza do, but it has always been one of Japan’s most reliable comfort meals: hot, filling, and easy on the wallet. With Vancouver’s cooler weather still lingering, it’s exactly the kind of satisfying bowl that hits the spot.
