Burnaby Heights’ “Chez Christophe” Chocolaterie Patisserie To Expand In January

Christophe and Jessica Bonzon of Burnaby Height’s excellent Chez Christophe are moving 4712 to 4716 Hastings Street, or directly across the street. As seen in the images above and below (thanks, Sophia Cheng), they’re well into construction on the new location.

The move gives the chocolaterie / patisserie more space (2,100 sqft) and 19 interior seats, not to mention production and retail space. This will allow for a larger menu of sandwiches and an expanded coffee program with a TBD local roaster. Once they’ve settled in, they hope to extend their opening hours to include service on Sunday.

“We are moving across the street as our current location is too small and our business is growing rapidly,” Christophe explains. “Our landlord owns the new building across the street and offered us the opportunity to move into a larger space to better accommodate our customer base. We have reached the point where we have run out of space in which to produce.”

Opening day is set for some point in January. Take a look…
