DERA | Organisation | Formed in 1973, the Downtown Eastside Residents Association was a formidable, non-profit political force that advocated for the housing rights of residents of the Downtown Eastside. It was dissolved in 2010 in the wake of accusations it had grossly mismanaged public funds.
