The Dumpling King Pop-Up Returns for Four Delicious Nights at Hives For Humanity

The uninitiated may be wondering what exactly makes Matthew Murtagh-Wu dumpling royalty. If his #DumplingKing title isn’t convincing enough and you have a taste for the addictive food (who doesn’t?) then you definitely won’t want to miss the King’s upcoming pop-up shop. After a successful first round in the Bee Space at Hives for Humanity in February, the concept is back by popular demand with four more evenings on the last two Fridays and Saturdays of September. On the table will be “the holy trifecta” of Murtagh-Wu’s menu: Johnnie Walker Black Pork Belly & Scallion; Five Spice Vegetarian; and Taiwanese-style pot stickers. House-made pickles, $5 Strange Fellows beer and sweet beats round out the communal dining experience. The Bee Space will once again be hosting the event, which is a first-serve free-for-all dumpling bar that ends when the dumplings run out. Show up early and hungry! With a standing room only capacity of 35, it’s sure be one sticky and steamy party atmosphere. Tickets are available at the door. As the King decares: “BEE ready to mingle!”

Fri-Sat, Sept. 22-23 & 29-30 | 6-9pm | Hives for Humanity (580 Powell St.) | $25 (with partial proceeds going to Hives for Humanity)
