Tasty Hong Kong-Style Snack Bar is Taking Over Breeze Bar on Jan. 23rd Only!

This Thursday, January 23rd, Breeze Bar is hosting a special collaboration between Chef and Co-owner, Josh Ochotorena, and Chef Kevin Wong. The latter has just recently returned to Vancouver after racking up time cooking abroad in Hong Kong, for real…and he’s primed to show us what he’s learned!

Their plan: to transform Gastown’s new “Trashy & Classy” Breeze Bar into a one-night-only Hong Kong-style snack spot. And although that means their hot dogs and caviar will be taking a 24-hour-long hiatus, you can still count on price points clocking in at under $20 per item. Phew! Speaking of which, check out the menu below:

In case you’re just being turned on to the Breeze-y situation now: the recent addition (November 2024) to the Gastown neighbourhood fills a gap in Vancouver’s late-night scene by offering consistent after-hours dining (Wednesday to Saturday, from 6pm to midnight), sweet prices, and nice things to drink. Co-founders Ryan Tanner and Josh Ochotorena pride themselves on delivering affordable dishes, alongside more luxurious options (for those feeling fancy). We dig the overall concept, and think that this week’s Hong Kong-inspired divergence from the norm is worth clearing space on your calendar – and staying out late on a weeknight – for!
