New Monthly ‘Dress Rehearsal’ Pop-Up Dinner Series is Kicking Off on June 14th

Get stoked for Dress Rehearsal! Beginning next month, Chef Lina Caschetto (Say Hey Café & Deli) and This is Wine School are joining forces to deliver Vancouver their “mildly posh and maximally fun” monthly pop-up dinner series, playing out across four “acts”.

Each of the so-far planned dinners will include a multi-course menu of personally-inspired themed plates and fun wine pairings. First up: La Mer (“The Sea”) on Saturday, June 14th. It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out that this inaugural dinner will include fresh seafood – good news, since that’s exactly the sort of light, fresh food that we all tend to crave this time of year. Each course of the dinner’s main event will be accompanied by specially selected pours of crisp whites, including pet nat (wine “best friend” to seafood), and bookended by an Apéro (sips & snacks) and dessert.

It all goes down at Say Hey Cafe in Chinatown on Saturday, June 14th. Tickets are $195 per person for all of your food and wine pairings. Chef Lina Caschetto and the TIWS crew will be ready to welcome guests beginning at 6:30pm, with dinner service starting at 7pm sharp. Lock in your seat for Dress Rehearsal’s First Act here now. Succeeding themed dinners scheduled throughout the Summer and early Fall are: ‘Act 2: Le Maraîcher’ (July 19th), ‘Act 3: Le Marché’ (August 16-17th; two-day event coinciding with Light Up Chinatown), and ‘Act 4: Le Marais’ (September 27th). Although tickets for future dinners are not yet available, if you’re interested in getting the full Dress Rehearsal experience then, in the meantime, it definitely doesn’t hurt to add your name to the waitlist to be notified when sales open up. (You can do that on each individual event page here.)
