New Brick and Mortar Location of ‘Itsumo’ Now Open in Mount Pleasant

On November 2nd, Itsumo Japanese lifestyle boutique quietly opened the doors of their new permanent home on East 6th Avenue (same block as The Whip and East Van Shoe Repair), relocating from their pop-up location in Strathcona.

What sets Itsumo apart is its distinct Japanese philosophy, which is showcased through a thoughtfully selected assortment of beautiful and utilitarian objects designed and made in Japan. From textiles to tea accessories, tools for writing and cooking, plus incense, candles and more, everything that’s available in the store has a higher purpose: to bring joy into your home life. The idea is that the things we use everyday can actually bring us pleasure and maybe even make the most mundane activities and routines something that we enjoy doing. Who wouldn’t want that?

Considering the months of hibernation and holiday shopping ahead, Itsumo’s timing is perfect. Whether you’re looking to make your apartment or house a more enjoyable place to be holed up in during the rainy days, or want some gift inspiration, be sure to swing by and say ‘hey!’ to our favourite new Mount Pleasant shop.

Currently, Itsumo is open from Monday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm, and Sundays, Noon to 5pm.
