Learn the Architecture of Dessert with Master Dessert ‘Engineer’, Kenta Takahashi

Mark your calendars for Monday, September 23rd, folks! That’s when Kenta Takahashi, the genius behind Boulevard Restaurant‘s dessert program (and recently crowned 2024’s Best Pastry Chef by Canada’s 100 Best) is running a two-hour deep dive into the intersection of design and dessert.

As part of the Design Vancouver Festival, Scout, The Garden Strathcona, and Takahashi are combining forces to offer this cool one-night-only talk and workshop focussing on the principles of form, function, colour, and composition through the lens of a master dessert ‘engineer’. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear Takahashi break down his creative process, explaining how he brings precision and artistry to every plate. The best part? They also get to roll up their sleeves to apply these concepts to their own creations.

No prior experience? No problem. This workshop is first and foremost about having a good time, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a complete novice. There will only be space for 20 participants, though. Don’t miss out! Score your (intentionally affordable $25) ticket to the Architecture of Dessert workshop on Monday, September 23rd from 6:30-8:30pm here.
