Hit Railtown This Weekend for a Small But Mighty Design Show

Part home decor shop and part exhibition, Kate Duncan’s Address is “an assembly of designer/makers, deeply dedicated to their craft presenting expertise and exceptional work.” This high end pop-up design show showcases some of the most beautifully constructed pieces in the city. There are roughly twenty-five contributing makers taking part to show everything from planters, beds, textiles and tables to jewellery, lighting and art. Everything you see, touch, and covet in this room deserves the reverence you will find yourself feeling.

From event organisers:

Produced by Kate Duncan, a designer/maker herself, ADDRESS is a different way to get yourself in the know. Kate was frustrated by the lack of opportunities to show off her furniture collection, so she founded ADDRESS in 2014. What started out as a way to promote a small furniture collection is now in it’s 5th consecutive year and promotes over 40 other designers, makers and artists alike.

At this year’s event, Duncan is debuting a brand new body of work. Handcrafted in solid North American hardwoods and sculptural in scope, this new collection is a departure from her signature mid-century style. Come by the event and see what’s new!

Bonus: The venue (The Settlement Building) is also home to Postmark Brewing and Belgard Kitchen, so take it slow and hang out for bunch / lunch and a nice crisp beer! Have a look at what we saw during the preview earlier this week in the gallery below. Find out more.
