VABF Studio-Produced ‘Self-Help Social’ Art Show Set For Thursday, March 16th

Jaz-Monthly-Image

Self-help and socialisation become cohorts this Thursday, March 16th, at the ironically dubbed Self-Help Social. The art show is also the official launch of local graphic designer Jaz Halloran’s new series of reworked psychology writings by the Canadian psychologist who coined the term “self-esteem.” The event is produced by the VABF Studio (Chinatown’s back alley library, gallery and Vancouver Art Book Fair headquarters) as part of their Monthly Open Studio presentations. Those still in denial or resistant to the concept of self-help can shelve their preconceptions for the night: this event promises to be more sticky than dry, due to the addition of a series of six artist-commissioned sticker sets. If you are interested in attending this free event, slip an email to design [at] jazhalloran.ca for location coordinates.
