“Pacific Rhythm” Record And Cassette Convention At Bestie This Sunday

PR-1

This Sunday, Chinatown’s Bestie will be hosting a “collectors and selectors convention” for lovers of underground house, disco and other interesting dance-related tunage. It’s being put on by Pacific Rhythm, a trio of local audiophiles – Bestie co-owner Dane Brown, Derek Duncan, Russell Cunningham – that works directly with small labels and distributors from around the world to bring Vancouverites hard-to-find records and cassettes. The convention, Dane says, is happening “in collaboration with our friends at Mood Hut1080p, and More Than Human […] Bring yourself and your loved ones down to Chinatown for an afternoon of music, community building, quality beer and snacks, and shopping for hot local and international vinyl and cassettes.” Check it out this Sunday, December 15th, from 2pm to 8pm.
