A Decadent, Educational Night Of Cocktails & Chemistry Set For Science World

IMG_5606

A drink at Science World? I thought you’d never ask! On the evening of Thursday, February 4th, Vancouverites are invited to dress up and explore the physics, chemistry, and biology of proper libations at a special fundraising event called Science of Cocktails. The skinny:

Think molecular mixology, fancy dresses and dapper suits. Each ticket includes complimentary cocktails from 25 stellar beverage stations run by award-winning bartenders and mouthwatering appetizers all night. Bragging rights and prizes to be won, all in the name of charity. Ticket proceeds will provide kids from underfunded schools free access to Science World.

An average class field trip to Science World at TELUS World of Science, including transportation to and from the facility, a workshop, an OMNIMAX film and a take-home activity, costs between $900 and $1,100 per class. With your help, we hope to raise enough to invite thousands of students from under-served schools in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland to Science World for this free, one-of-a-kind experience.

The food pairings are from Railtown Catering, so you know it’s going to be good. And with 100% of the proceeds giving 6,000 local students a chance to experience the wonders of Science World, the 19+ event looks like the perfect way to spend a Thursday night. Buy your tickets here.

Thu, Feb. 4th | 8pm-12am | Science World | 1455 Quebec St. | Vancouver, BC | GA $146 VIP $250 | DETAILS
