ABOUT NERO BELGIAN WAFFLE BAR

Nero had its unassuming beginning in 2012 when owners Jan and Eilnaz, a young Belgian couple, fell in love with Vancouver and moved here, bringing with them a Belgian specialty- waffles! Using carefully perfected recipes, the two could initially be seen on the front lines of the tiny Robson storefront, until popularity prompted the hiring of a full-time staff and, eventually, the opening of a second location on Seymour Street.

At Nero we pride ourselves on making everything in-house and from scratch using the freshest natural and local ingredients, complemented with specialty ingredients from Belgium. We serve Brussels and Liege waffles with a full menu of toppings including sweet and savoury options, as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks. Our mini liege waffles, a popular item for take-out, are available in a variety of staple flavours as well as special seasonal flavours.

The second location, with a larger production area, dining room, and patio, offers a slightly different menu as well as a selection of cocktails, and Belgian beers. Both locations retain the essentials that make up Nero-a cozy, warm atmosphere, an open kitchen concept where we can be seen making waffles from start to finish.

Both locations will be open until late seven days a week to satisfy late-night waffle cravings. At the Robson location you can enjoy waffles from morning till evening. The Seymour location on the other hand is more focused for late night dessert, opening from 5pm-12am, weekends as from 12pm-12am.
