Blinding Light, The

Blinding Light | Place | Located on 36 Powell in what is now Milano Coffee Roasters, The Blinding Light existed as North America’s only full-time underground cinema between 1998 and 2003. Founded by Alex MacKenzie, the space housed a cafe, a gallery wall featuring rotating art exhibits, a zine & video rack, and, of course, a 110-seat cinema.
