(via) Though the tone of the voiceover in this 1959 British Pathé short film sounds a lot like it’s in Monty Pythonesque jest, we can assure you that it’s for real (and exactly the sort of thing that the Flying Circus crew grew up watching). The film – titled Icing Artist Beware – follows the work of an exacting Berkshire-based pastry artist who sometimes spends upwards of 30 hours – some of it laying prone on scaffolding – icing cakes that cost £100 each.
