Igloo, the | Nickname | The old Eaton’s Centre (then Sears, soon Nordstrom’s) occupying the downtown city block of Howe, Granville, Robson, and Georgia. It got the name from it’s curved, white-tiled walls. It’s also called The Great White Urinal. Designed by starchitect Cesar Pelli in the 1970s, it was criticized by planners as stifling the vitality of the area. No shit. So much for criticism!
