Hastings Mill | Historical site | Vancouver, as a colonial project, was made possible in the late 19th century by Hastings Mill. It was waterfront construction built in 1867 at the foot of where Dunlevy Street is today. The townsite that would later become Vancouver grew up around it. Also known as Stamp’s Mill after Captain Edward Stamp (the man who built it). It was in operation until 1928.
