Smoke Break #695: Don’t Piss Off The Psychotic Chefs At Domino’s

You’ve likely been subjected to the surplus run of apologia ads from Domino’s Pizza. To trumpet the re-invention of their shitty pizzas (be sure to watch their long-winded, overly dramatic and needlessly saccharine Pizza Turnaround ad), they took their “new and improved” pies to the home addresses of those people who were so bored, broke and lonely that they attended Domino’s-hosted focus groups and – gasp – bitched about the quality of the food. As far as ad goodness goes, it’s total kibble for the People of Walmart demo. The only trouble is how unlikely the whole narrative arc is. Seeing those lab “chefs” get so excited about listening to their customers is wince-worthy. Perhaps a better representation of how they must have felt after seeing and reading all the negative feedback can be seen in the parody video above.
