(via) Dig this short Raw Craft film that has Anthony Bourdain traveling to Olympia, WA to visit the workshop of master bladesmith Bob Kramer. The guy – who incidentally used to work as a cook – crafts some of the best kitchen knives in the world from a steel he painstakingly makes using meteorites. We love how so much of the work is done by eye, and how the phase-shift shadow of carbon moves through the blade as it cools. Wow!
