Oh man, but the kid in me still thinks it’s 84% awesome (that’s pretty kickass). It’s from Dutch designer Tomm Velthuis. See what it builds after the leap…
It’s like Lego. I can do that…
Oh. Whoops. From Velthuis’ website:
Eleven pieces of wood in a wooden box. A blocks set, just a toy. Until we start to play with it. When we put pieces together, it becomes a full size machine gun. People should play more, really play more. With each other. Away from that computer, get outside! You don’t play with a gun, yet it looks friendly, with its smooth edges and a pleasant light color. There’s two emotions hidden inside that provide food for thought.
I don’t know what those two hidden emotions are (“shame” and “fear of slivers”?), but I do know this: if you have boys under 15, you probably don’t want to show them the “Ratata” gun or else Santa will probably personally hunt you down and punch you square in the neck. He’s like that. Trust me.
How do you purchase one of these?
you cant shoot it, what use is that
