by Jenny Bachynski | In need of some original summer gift ideas? Sorting through Etsy can be a bit daunting, but here are 20 great designers to start with.

Spending the day outside with some delicious food is really one of the greatest things going in Vancouver. Some unique items that can help include a London Life utensil set, an Artifact Bag Co. lunch tote, and a Castle key bottle opener.

If you’re a costume design connoisseur, brace yourself for the Christmas 2012 release of The Great Gatsby. Tiffany & Co and Brooks Bros went to town on the wardrobe. Just gorgeous.

Who knew that people took bangs so seriously? This New York Times article made me laugh out loud (and kind of made me want to get bangs)…

A straight-forward tutorial on how to tie-dye your denim (please use in moderation).

  1. Wow. Where do you find these people? Seriously…Vancouver is full of creatively/tastefully/seemingly effortlessly well-dressed people, and yet you seem to gravitate towards and photograph anyone you can find wearing something “daring!” or unique –regardless of whether it works or not. Obviously, some master that particular style (photo #3), and that’s awesome! But come on…please…no flip flops! No painfully mismatched colour palettes! No harem pants and sneakers! No overalls made of cheap material over raglans!

I love this site and I love what you’re doing with this Look City feature…but please, give us more well-fitting, well-composed, and inspiring outfits to gawk at.
