Calling all feminist foodies! Canada’s oldest running feminist literary magazine, Room, is taking over Cartems Donuterie on Main Street next Saturday (March 11) for an evening of readings, live painting, drinks and treats. In conjunction with the launch of their latest issue – which is food-themed – and as part of the inaugural Growing Room Literary Festival, Perfect Pairings: Food and Wine, Prose and Poetry is free and open to the public. You can find all the details on this and over 20 other events hosted by Room during the week of International Women’s Day (March 8-12) here.
